Crystal Lake Golf Club (CLGC) has exceptional standards for service to all clients. In keeping with our standards, you will be in the care of our on-site Wedding Coordinator. The Wedding Coordinator is a uniquely trained individual, who will personally handle your wedding from beginning planning stages, to the end event. This includes recommending local vendors and being at the venue on your wedding day to coordinate every aspect related to CLGC.
Crystal Lake Golf Club does not have rooms available for your out of town guests to stay. We have arranged for the local motels to give special rates for guests of your wedding to take advantage of. Please refer to the preferred vendor list.
Your site rates are dependent on the size or the guest count you anticipate and the length of time of your event. We have a price list for a full day package event, and we also have made 3 different size packages convenient for the couple who just want to rent the space for a few hours. Changes in your initial requirements may necessitate changes in your times, meals, or set up. These may require revisions of rental rates, set up, and labor fees. Thus, CLGC will guarantee your site space, but not guarantee specific price fees.
You Are Using an Outside Venue
In the case of inclement northern Michigan weather, there is no alternative site. We can provide tent sides for your event but there is not an alternative site to move the event. As a courtesy to all of our neighbors there are curfews for our outdoor site. Curfew includes all music to end at 11:00p.m. and all clean up to be completed by 12:00 a.m..
Deposit and Payment
The CLGC requires half down, NONREFUNDABLE retainer at the time of contract signing to hold the tent space for your wedding. The CLGC reserves the right to alter this amount for events that requires extended set-up time. One (1) week prior to the event, an estimated total payment will be due. At the conclusion of the event after all final charges are tabulated, you will receive an invoice from the Crystal Lake Golf Course accounting department. All deposits and final payments can be made with a credit card or check.
In order to best serve your guests, a final confirmation of attendance, or guarantee, is required by 12:00pm one week prior to your event. If no guarantee is received, CLGC will charge for the expected number of guests indicated on the original contract.
Food and Beverage
To ensure safety and comply with state and local health regulations, CLGC is the only one authorized licensee to sell, serve, or furnish liquor, beer, or wine on theses premises, excluding wedding cakes and favors. No beverage of any kind is permitted to be brought into any function space of the CLGC.
Crystal Lake Golf Club takes seriously its responsibility to serve alcohol and therefore reserves the right to refuse the service of alcoholic beverages to anyone at anytime. The CLGC reserves the right to discontinue alcoholic beverage service if underage alcohol consumption is identified and continues after the client and the client’s guests have been advised to cease. CLGC staff has the authority to check the identification of anyone appearing under the legal age of 21 years of age and will refuse the service of alcoholic beverages. Arrangements can be made with your Wedding Coordinator to pre-card members of the bridal party only.
CLGC offers an extensive selection of beverage items to complement your event. We would be happy to purchase any specialty beverages from one of our licensed purveyors to complement your menu selections.
Your site includes your tables, chairs, standard white table linens, and standard napkins for each table. CLGC will not assume responsibility for the damage or loss of any décor items or merchandise left at the tent site before or after your function, i.e. gifts, card box, décor, etc. In the unlikely event that any damages to the site, tent, or any items used for the event occur as a result of your function, the contract signer shall assume responsibility and all costs associated with these damages.
We can assist in providing you with references for a variety of professional services such as food, entertainment, decorations, transportation, cake, and others.
